Sunday was a morning of reading and having some time with my beloved and an afternoon with my family. We went to see 'Tangled' which is excellent. I got lots of cuddles from my niece and nephew so that made it even better!
I had a really lovely few days, pottering, making affirmations by a sun sparkling river and catching up with old friends. I can feel today how much I'm looking forward to earning. Money feels like it comes in and goes straight back out! Its also tricky to keep up the motivation for doing all the creative and practical things that I plan for after a few weeks of having extended time.
I can be content with simple pleasures, music, a cup of tea and a good book and a walk in the blustery wind, but it would be great to have the funds to make more plans. Visit friends in London and go to the theatre!
I saw an interesting quote in 'The Big Issue' today that a definition of spirituality could be spirit in reality- I see this as expressing or resonating truth and love in everyday real situations. Responding to friends and family with love and enough detachment not to become emotionally enmeshed and immersed in another persons drama. Because I have some time on my side I've been taking the time to look around me and really see, to stop for short moments and breath and feel how I am in my self- get out of my mind chatter temporarily and just be in that moment.
It sounds like a cliche but perhaps these extra moments well placed in the day will help with my spirit in reality.
